LMN Architects has grown with the design of buildings that engage the public and private realms in unique visions of place. The firm was founded in 1979 by architects George Loschky, Judsen Marquardt, and John Nesholm. The partnership has grown to include Chris Eseman, Walt Niehoff, Mark Reddington, Rob Widmeyer, George Shaw, and Wendy Pautz and has evolved into one of the largest firms in the Pacific Northwest.

Since its inception, LMN has designed more than 120 projects with a value exceeding $1.5 billion in 30 states and 6 foreign countries. The firm has developed a diverse portfolio that includes public assembly, urban design, retail, commercial, corporate, education, industrial, mixed-use, and transportation projects. These facilities bring growing national and global markets into the lives and textures of local communities, weaving the expanding economy together with the cultural heritage, urban conditions, and traditions of civic architecture. As the health and prosperity of cities becomes an ever greater public priority, our practice also continues to branch into a range of civic, cultural, and commercial building projects. To that end, LMN has won 10 design competitions and received more than 120 design awards including a 2001 National Honor Award for Seattle Symphony’s Benaroya Hall.

Each design is the result of a working collaboration of all design professionals and project participants. Our studio practice is a continuum of creative exchange between clients and individuals in the design studio. Our entire practice is enriched by the challenges of differing project types.
